Hello! I am so happy that you have taken the time out of your day to look at my blog so thank you, thank you, thank you for that :)

My name is Lucy Rickers, and I am from Marietta, Georgia, a pretty big suburban area right outside the perimeter of Atlanta. I live with my parents and younger brother, and I love them to pieces. Just like everybody else ever, I love spending time with my family and friends. I also love guacamole, Taylor Swift, and incense (that pretty much sums me up).

I heard about the World Race Gap Year program three years ago, and I just have not been able to get it out of my head. The Lord has kept it on my heart the past couple of years, but when I started the college application process in the fall, I couldn't shake the feeling that college wasn't exactly right for me just yet. I feel so blessed and honored that the Lord has called me to such an incredible and powerful journey as the WRGY, and I could not be more thrilled!

I will be using this blog to share updates on what the Lord is doing in my life both leading up to the launch and on the field in Costa Rica, Thailand, and Eswatini. Another super important use of this blog is fundraising!! I have a pretty penny I need to fundraise to make this possible, so if you feel led to donate, I would be so so grateful for any sort of contribution.

Thank you so much for supporting me on this journey- it truly means the world to me and my family! If you have any questions or comments for me, do not hesitate to reach out! I hope you all have an incredible rest of your day!!
